From 22-25 October 2021, in New York City and virtually, a Panel of Nine Jurists --- internationally esteemed legal scholars, human rights advocates, academics and faith leaders --- will convene to review the record of US policies regarding the human rights of Black, Brown, and Indigenous Peoples within their borders.

The International Tribunal on US Human Rights Abuses Against Black, Brown and Indigenous Peoples was initiated by a coalition of groups calling themselves The Spirit of Mandela. Their website contains basic information, including registration for the Tribunal.

Time and Place

The 2021 International Tribunal will be live-streamed on this site, and will include in-person options for those registered in advance (see "Join Us" above).

From Friday, 22 October through Sunday, 24 October, the Tribunal will be held at 

The Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial and Educational Center,

3940 Broadway at West 165th Street

(Friday evening, 6-9 pm Eastern will be an Opening Cultural Celebration;

Saturday and Sunday will focus upon the Tribunal itself - expert and frontline testimonies, opening and closing arguments, from 10 am - 5 pm)

The Panel of Jurists will announce their Verdict in front of the United Nations on Monday, 25 October, from 12 - 2 pm Eastern.
